Consultation and X-rays
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options.
Occasionally, surgery can be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Your surgical referral slip and any X-rays if applicable
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
A pre-operative consultation and physical examination is mandatory for patients undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery. Please have nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to your surgery. You will also need an adult to drive you home.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.)
X-Rays
If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If
there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility, using state of the art digital radiographic equipments.

We are pleased to know more about their anatomy before we begin any treatment.”
Dr. Bedrossian is enhancing treatment planning and patient care with the advanced digital imaging technology of the i‑CAT® .
Our office is now using the latest in dental imaging technology, the i-CAT, a Cone Beam 3-D dental imaging system. Cone Beam technology is quickly advancing the dental industry’s leading approach to treatment planning and diagnosis. With a typical scan time of only 20 seconds with the patient seated in an open environment, Dr. Bedrossian, can now view 3-D patient anatomy to accomplish, more precise evaluation for predictable treatment results in shorter appointment times for the patient.
Dentistry’s most accurate imaging. Dr. Bedrossian has chosen this technology to enhance treatment care for patients in the greater San Francisco area. Using the i-CAT scanner’s high resolution images, Dr. Bedrossian obtains highly accurate and detailed three-dimensional views of all anatomies such as bone, teeth, tooth orientation, tooth and nerve relation, airways and sinuses. This 3-D dental imaging is used for implant planning, TMJ and airway analysis, orthodontic and oral surgery planning, and to detect pathologies such as cysts and tumors.
Safety and Convenience for Patients. Our office can now take an immediate scan for patients with lower radiation dosage and without the inconvenience of sending them to a hospital. Once the scan is complete, we are able to share an immediate visual diagnosis to help patients truly visualize and better understand treatment options. These preoperative scans are easily shared with other doctors helping Dr. Bedrossian perform less invasive procedures through increased precision, thus reducing risks for patients.
